Brief introduction to Industrial Fair
　　The 2008 China (Hangzhou) International Industrial Fair (formerly “Zhejiang International Industrial Fair”) was originated in 2002, it is held at Hangzhou Peace International Exhibition and Conference Center every May. It has experienced six years of persistent, healthy and stable development. It was listed in the formal exhibition of “China Hangzhou West Lake Expo” in 2006, becoming a large exhibition and conference project specially supported by the municipal government of Hangzhou. (Hereinafter referred to as “the Industrial Fair”)
　　The 2008 “Industrial Fair” is sponsored by Hangzhou Municipal Economic Commission, supported by state, provincial and municipal level governmental units, and jointly undertaken by numerous industrial units both in and out of Zhejiang Province. It will be held at Hangzhou Peace International Exhibition and Conference Center in May 2008. This coming “Industrial Fair” will take “innovation, harmony and development” as the theme, “enhancing industrial mounting level, improving technological innovation ability” as the aim, mainly show the five major special exhibitions such as “numerical control machine tools”, “automation and instruments and meters”, “electronics”, “electrics and electrical engineering” and “power transmission”, as well as the academic forums and industrial summits etc which will be held in the corresponding period.
　　Led by the governments and departments of all levels in unification, redeploying sufficiently the possessed technology, information and industrial resources, we believe that the 2008 “Fair” will attract more excellent international companies to participate in the professional exhibitions and relevant activities of the Industrial Fair.
Review of previous exhibition
　　The 2nd “Yangtze Delta (Hangzhou) Instruments, Meters and Automation International Exhibition”, “I&A” in short, was held successfully at Zhejiang World Trade Center on November 18th-20th, 2006. There were more than 200 manufacturers from China, USA, Japan, Germany and Hong Kong, Taiwan participated in the exhibition. The participated well-known Chinese and foreign enterprises are: Siemens, ABB, Omron, Zhejiang University’s Centralized Control, ZheDaZhongZi, HollySys, Chint, Holley Technology, EVOC Intelligent, YAMATAKE, Emerson Group, GE USA, National Instruments, Phoenix Contact Group Germany, Mitsubishi Japan, Beijing Asiacontrol etc.
　　The forums and conferences with the 4 themes of “Summit forum”, “Technology communication conference”, “High-grade salon” and “Information forum of industrial Ethernet and advanced manufacturing” were held during the same period of the exhibition. The Chinese scientists in the fields of instrument, meter and automation, such as Academician Dai Ruwei, Academician Sun Youxian, Academician Chai Tianyou, Academician Li Bohu, Academician Zhuang Songlin, Academician Feng Xisheng, Academician Wang Tianran, and the famous enterprise leaders such as Chu Jian, Wang Changli, Nan Cunhui, Wang Wenjian, Ke Jiandong, An Xiaojie, Sun Qiangyi etc participated in the conferences and relevant activities. The nice perspective of instruments, meters and automation in the application development in Chinese industry was presented. I&A provided a nice exhibition and communication platform to the industry, promoted effectively the communication, popularization, trade and cooperation of new products and new technologies.
Exhibition survey
　　The “2008 Yangtze Delta (Hangzhou) Instruments, Meters and Automation International Exhibition” is integrated with the original “Hangzhou International E-times Automation Exhibition”. It is directed mainly toward the deploitation of Yangtze Delta market, and it takes internationalization, brand, professionalization as the tenet. The most advanced relevant technologies, products and development trend will be centrally exhibited, and industrial automation engineering control system, factory automation equipment, instrument and intelligent instruments and devices etc will be exhibited as well. Meanwhile, high-grade salons, theme conferences and forums will be held during the same period for interaction, communication and promotion.
　　This exhibition is sponsored jointly by the six major industrial organizations such as Zhejiang Federation of Instruments, Meters and Automation, Zhejiang Instruments and Meters Academy, Zhejiang Instruments and Meters Industry Association, Zhejiang Automation Academy, Zhejiang Instruments and Meters Technology Service Center, Hangzhou Automation Industry Association and Hangzhou Automation Academy, strongly supported by Chinese Association of Automation, China Instrument and Control Society, advanced manufacture and automation technology field in the State 863 Plan, authority academic body of Zhejiang University and Yangtze Delta in the field of instruments and meters automation, numerous industrial units in Zhejiang Province as well as Chinese and overseas industrial organizations and trade groups. The holding of Yangtze Delta (Hangzhou) Instruments, Meters and Automation International Exhibition shows the characteristic advantage in the industry and also presents the enterprises’ advantages.
　　The 2008 Yangtze Delta (Hangzhou) Instruments, Meters and Automation International Exhibition and forums will again be supported by the leaders of each governmental department, the industrial chief managers as well as numerous Chinese and overseas enterprises and units. We will cooperate closely with the numerous foreign industrial organizations and media, and organize the professional purchasers and visitors from both home and abroad to visit and purchase by utilizing the strong network advantages and rich industrial resources of such organizations.
According to the demands of previous participated enterprises, this exhibition will expand the scale further. There will be six exhibition halls with a total area of 10,000m2 on the ground and 2nd floors of Hangzhou Peace International Exhibition and Conference Center, including about 500 exhibition places. And relevant conferences, technology communication meetings, high-grade forums as well as opening activities will be held. We believe that this exhibition will bring more business opportunities to the participating merchants and visitors, and it will make a new record.
